MLDM'2021

Report about MLDM 2021, New York, USA

Name of the Conference: 17th International Conference on Machine Learning and Data Mining 2021(MLDM 2021)
Date of the Conference: July 19, 2021
Location of the Conference: Holiday Inn, 160 Frontage Rd. Newark, New Jersey 07114, United States

On July 19, 2021, the 17th International Conference on Machine Learning and Data Mining MLDM 2021 was hold in United State. The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers from all over the world who deal with machine learning and data mining in order to discuss the recent status of the research and to direct further developments. After a short registration in the morning, the Chair of MLDM, Prof. Dr. Petra Perner opened the conference at 9: 15 am with warm welcome speech.

According to the conference program, there are about 17 long papers are selected and invited to present at the conference. The topics range from theoretical topics for classification, clustering, association rule and pattern mining to specific data-mining methods f or the different multimedia data types such as image mining, text mining, video mining, and Web mining. Presentation time for long paper will be 20 Minutes. 15 Minutes for the talk and 5 minutes for discussion.

I was the first speaker to present at the conference. The tile of our paper is “The Generalization of Mathematical Morphology to Non-numeric Sets". My presentation run very smoothly, and the participants asked questions after my presentation. I answered couple questions and discussed the possible application about our researches. I also enjoyed the other talks in the conference. I got a great insight in the research of the other speaker’s respective fields and the new trends.

During the coffee break of the conference, I met with many professional people from different universities to learn about their latest researches and discuss about our teaching. I got some feedbacks about our researches from the other participants. We also discussed the open research problems that we like to study further. By attending this conference, it improves my presentation and communication skills. In this manner, I master my professions in ways that are beneficial to my students and to the classroom environment in general.

With all the contributions of the Prof. Dr. Petra Perner, the conference organizer, speakers and participants, the MLDM conference completed successfully.

Tutorial Case-based Reasoning REVIEW

The CBR tutorial was an eye opener enriching experience about how to approach incremental data scenarios using case based reasoning. Prof. Dr. Petra Perner is an expert in the matter and gets to transmit the message in a clear and precise way. She was prompt to respond all the questions and arise interesting discussions around them. Looking forward to keep learning about the subject.
